Scents Inspired by the Ones We Love
Saakje & Elva
Our name honours two remarkable women, our grandmothers, Saakje and Elva. They embodied love, beauty, kindness, joy, and the freedom to be truly ourselves. Their influence lives on in every candle we create. What began as two friends making candles for the love of it has grown into something much bigger — a way of capturing memories, honouring the people we cherish, and sharing that light with others. Each flame is a tribute to the lessons they passed on: that love and joy are what make life most beautiful.

THE FALL COLLECTION
Every Label Tells a Story
Every label begins with a brushstroke and a story. Each design is hand-painted with the person in mind — not simply to reflect the fragrance inside, but to capture a memory, a favourite place, or a small detail that made them unforgettable. A rose that bloomed in their garden, a seaside view they loved, or a sweet indulgence that always made them smile. These images are more than decoration — they’re keepsakes of the lives that inspire our candles, carrying with them love, connection, and remembrance.
A Few of Our Favourite Things
Crafting Scents as Unique as the People Who Inspire Them
Every scent at Saakje & Elva begins with a person — not a recipe. We don't create simple, single-note candles.
Each blend is a custom formulation designed to reflect a memory, a moment, or a personality we love. Behind every label are hours of blending, testing, and perfecting — sometimes using 8, 9, or even 10 fragrance oils to capture one feeling just right.
A childhood orchard. A grandmother's perfume. A favourite coffee shop. A summer porch. A warm kitchen filled with laughter.
Each candle is built in layers — top, heart, and base — so the fragrance unfolds slowly as it burns, revealing depth, warmth, and emotion.
These scents are not mass-produced. They are handcrafted stories — created in-house, poured with intention, and designed to feel deeply personal.
It's more than fragrance. It's memory, love, and legacy — captured in scent.
